Fremstillet på 100% nero d'avola druer fra vinområdet Noto, hvor markerne er 130 meter over havets overflade. Vinen har lagret 10 måneder på små franske egetræsfade af 225 liter, hvoraf 1/3 er helt nye.
Farven i glasset er dyb rubinrød mens duft og smag er elegant og intens med noter af skovbær med en krydret tone. Eftersmagen er lang og behagelig. Nyd den til smagfulde pastaretter, grillet eller stegt rødt kød med årstidens grøntsager.

Lightening ruby red colour. On the nose cherry juice, geraniums, some grapefruit juice, fragrant and inviting. Harmonious on the palate, juicy, clear, with a great red fruit centre, plus fine citric tones, good acidity, high drinking flow, pleasing.

The Zisola 2022 Sicilia Noto Zisola is made with 100% Nero d'Avola and always represents excellent value. The wine aged for a quick 10 months in French oak (with one-third new wood), and this hot vintage saw 84,000 bottles made (which is a little lower than average). This vintages reveals a careful interpretation of the grape, without the excess heaviness or those characteristic black olive aromas that sometimes come with the varietal. Instead, this pretty wine embraces brightness, medium texture and aromas of cherry, blackcurrant and toasted almond. This easygoing wine hits a great stride in terms of accessibility and drinkability.

The 2022 Zisola (100% Nero d’Avola) wafts up with a pretty blend of dusty rose, clove and wild strawberry. This is juicy and lifted in style, with pure wild berry fruits and a gentle tinge of blood orange toward the close. It finishes with admirable length and youthful tension, leaving behind grippy tannins that frame the experience nicely without slowing its momentum.

Pitched as 'Nero d'Avola out of the box', this is light in colour and decadently seductive in aroma, showing cooked cherries and notes of sweet caramelised tomatoes. The palate has a sweet-fruited edge, and then a savoury depth, herbs and leaves. Long, quite tangy and chewy. A little austere even. Aged partly in new French oak and partly in used.
