Unik Grand Cru Chablis i mikroskopiske mængder!
Årgang 2024 var en særdeles vanskelig en af slagsen i Bourgogne. Ikke mindst i Chablis, hvor en ekstraordinær stor andel af høstet gik tabt. Hos Domaine Christian Moreau mistede man således 92 % af høsten fra sine Grand Cru marker!
Derfor valgte Moreau kun at flaske èn Chablis Grand Cru i 2024, som udgøres af de få druer, der overlevede fra Grand Cru'erne Les Clos, Blanchot, Valmur, Vaudesir og Clos des Hospices. Resultatet er en fuldkommen unik og fantastisk Grand Cru Chablis prydet med en smuk, sort etiket.
Lagret 100 % på brugte egetræsfade og med al den intensitet, elegance og mineralitet, man forventer af Chablis største vine - men kun produceret i forsvindende få mængder!
Vinous - 92
The 2024 Chablis Grand Cru, a blend of Moreau's five Grand Crus, comes with a one-off label for, hopefully, a one-off vintage. It has an attractive nose with lemon peel, lemon curd and a very clever reduction lending tension. The palate is well balanced with impressive weight, again with just a minor reduction that surprised winemaker Fabienne Moreau, who was tasting it for the first time in bottle with me. With impressive length and a saline finish, this has a lot of potential. Quite cerebral.

32 hl from 5ha, all in wood, none new, but now racked to tank. A fresh pale yellow colour with a green tint. The oak is quite evident on the nose, but in harmony with the fruit. There is a sensual aspect to this, backed by substantial salinity, as ripening was blocked to some extent. The final result is pleasing, with a little lemony touch. Building in density during the elevage, and will not be bottled until next spring. Drink from 2029-2036.
