Pinot Noir-druerne til denne fornemme vin høstet fra domainets 1 hektar store parcel i Roncieres-marken fra omkring 60 år gamle stokke. I modsætning til husets øvrige vine, lægger Roncieres lidt mere diskret fra land med subtile noter af solbær, brombær, muld og lidt toastede noter fra fadlagringen. Vinen åbner efterhånden op og folder sig ud med sin intense, energiske og mundvandrivende frugt, levende syre og støttende tannin. Vinen er utvivlsomt bygget til det lange løb, men allerede nu er vinens udtryk fascinerende at følge.
Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy - 91-94
A rich deep concentrated purple. I detect a peachy note, the sun has struck here. A bit of thyme too. There is a more forceful structure in the Roncière, a limestone underlay to the fine but ripe tannins, with impressive length. This will come through very well.
Robert Parker - 90-92
Aromas of cassis, smoky berries and spices introduce the 2023 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Roncières, a medium-bodied wine with good concentration and youthfully chalky structuring tannins that will likely acquire more polish with further élevage.
Allan Meadows - Burghound - 91-93
A restrained, elegant distinctly cool nose displays a blend of red and dark pinot fruit where background nuances of spice and earth add breadth. The refined, detailed and mineral-driven medium weight flavors possess a beguiling sense of underlying tension that seems to build on the youthfully austere, dusty and even firmer finish. This could use better depth but the underlying potential clearly seems to be present.
