Vild kvalitet fra Wittmann med flotte 95 point fra Suckling!
Normalt består denne fænomonale Riesling af druer fra to af de absolutte top-marker i Rheinhessen, nemlig Brunnenhäuschen og Morstein.
Men i denne 2024 udgave har man valgt, udelukkende at benytte druer fra Morstein, som betragtes som det absolutte top-terroir i hos Wittmann.
Det har udmyntet sig i en utrolig flot Riesling skabt efter biodynamiske principper. I glasset er den lys strågylden og åbenbarer en skøn duft med pære, citronskal og et let fyldigere præg af fersken. Tårnhøj og præcis syre, stram struktur og tonsvins af stenet mineralitet i den lange eftersmag.

Vinous - 93
The 2024 Riesling Westhofener trocken this year was made from Morstein grapes only. It comes from vines that surround the GG parcels. Usually, this also contains grapes from Brunnenhäuschen, but Wittmann decided against that this year. A lovely sense of chervil and moss join a certain creaminess on the nose, while the cool palate plunges into a note of lemon zest. This is as mouthwatering as pale lemon peel. It is fresh, pure and bright, sinking deep into limestone-tinged coolness and freshness. An intense saltiness appears on the long, lemony finish. (Bone-dry)
