Her får man en vin, der brager derud af med mørk frugt og kompleksitet i overflod. Druerne kommer fra meget gamle vinstokke, og i 2020-årgangen består blendet af hovedsageligt Graciano (60 %) Tempranillo (30 %) og som noget nyt Grenache/Garnache med (10 %), for at tilføje yderligere friskhed til den potente vin.
Brugen af nye fade er desuden minimeret til kun at udgøre 30 %, for at give vinen en bedre balance mellem power og elegance. Det er lykkes til fulde, og her får man en virkelig skøn vin, der med fordel vil kunne gemmes i mange år.

The eponymous red 2020 Exopto is an atypical blend of 60% Graciano with 30% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha, a wine with aromatic intensity, a lively color and a fresh palate and aging potential. The Garnacha was added this year to lower the pH and keep the freshness. It's serious and textured, medium to full-bodied with medium ripeness and 14.5% alcohol, combining power with elegance. The new oak has been lowered to 30%, and three quarters of the volume matured in 500-liter barrels, which means less impact and more integrated oak. 2,500 bottles were filled in February 2022.

A dark, spicy nose, showing black earth, smoked meat, black cherries and a fine twist of black pepper and hot stones. This is quite full-bodied, concentrated and powerful, with plenty of fine, dusty tannins that provide a long finish. Graciano, tempranillo and garnacha. Drink or hold.
