Barbaresco Faset er en virkelig yndefuld vin, der fornemt viser, hvor elegant Nebbiolo-druen kan udtrykke sig, når den er i hænderne på en sand mester som Michele Chiarlo. Faset lagrer 18 måneder i store egetræsfade, og frigives først efter yderligere 6 måneders lagring i flasken.
Resultatet er en meget fint balanceret vin, med en åben næse fyldt med skønne, klassiske Nebbiolo-noter af tørret rosenblade, syrlige kirsebær og et strejf af træ. God friskhed, flot længde og faste tanniner.

A dense, muscular and brooding style, this Barbaresco has sufficient ripe cherry, strawberry and currant fruit to match the beefy tannins. Delivers graphite, tobacco and a hint of eucalyptus, which add depth as this turns compact on the finish. Best from 2026 through 2043.

Chiarlo's steep vineyard lies within Faset in the central and higher part of the MGA in a sort of wedge with Pora. It's one of the most appreciated menzioni in Barbaresco. This is fermented and aged in big oak tini for at least 10 months. The style is generous, with darker fruits integrated with the sweetness of oak, a round palate and crunchy tannins, rustic to the end.

Aromas of plums and barley with some sliced dried mushroom, following through to a medium body with attractive fruit and medium tannins. Juicy and fruit at the end.
