Super Pommard fra Georges Glantenay. Fra den legendariske Premier Cru mark Les Rugiens Haut.
Er man til Bourgogne fra Pommard, så bliver det ikke meget bedre end her. Skøn Pinot Noir fra den fantastiske enkeltmarken Les Rugiens Haut, hvor Glantenays stokke er 70 år gamle. Druerne høstet naturligvis manuelt og sorteres grundigt. Første selektion sker i selve marken, og herefter finder yderligere selektion sted to gange i vineriet. Alt sammen for at sikre, at kun det bedste af det bedste druemateriale finder vej til den endelige vin.
Vinifikation sker i temperaturregulerede ståltanke, hvorefter vinen lagres i 18-20 måneder ”sur lie” (på resterne af drueskaller, kerner og frugtkød) på bourgognefade, hvoraf halvdelen er nye.
Det resulterer i en velstruktureret, kompleks og aromatisk rødvin med enorm længde og noter af røde og mørke bær, peber og røg. Mesterligt!
Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy - 92
Mid crimson. The nose is friendly in the style of upper Rugiens rather than the greater opulence and depth of the lower part. Opens out quite well on the palate with a good juiciness and some additional persistence. The finish is harmonious with tannins and acidity fully integrated in the fruit.

The 2021 Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens Haut wafts from the glass with notes of red berries, plums, peony and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, open and expressive palate that's supple and seamless, with good depth at the core and a saline, mineral finish.
Allan Meadows - Burghound - 90-92
Once again a discreet dollop of wood sets off the elegant and super-fresh essence of various red berries, soft spice, earth and a floral top note. The wonderfully refined and polished yet decidedly powerful and tautly muscular flavors exude evident minerality on the focused, long and markedly austere finale. This is compact and very tightly wound at present and I would recommend not touching a bottle for at least 5 years.
