Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy - 90-93
Here an expressive nose that is markedly floral in character combines notes of red cherry and currant with hints of spice and tea. The caressing and delicious middle weight flavors are suave to the point of being seductive while retaining excellent punch, all wrapped in a dusty, lightly stony and youthfully austere finale. This will need at least a few years as it's fairly tightly wound at present.
Allan Meadows - Burghound - 90-92
An exuberant nose blends a variety of red and dark fruit aromas with those of anise and violet. The super-sleek, detailed and refined flavors also possess a seductively textured mid-palate while delivering fine length on the dusty, chiseled and lightly stony finale. This is pretty much textbook Robardelle, e.g., a wine of finesse.
